Preface to English Literature
English throughout years 8-9 is quite linear, as students focusing on developing and nurturing ones writing skills.
However, in later grades, one can choose to explore various different types of English.
Some certain examples of various fields of English include: English Literature, Creative Writing, English First Peoples, etc.
In this section, we are to focus on English Literature. English Literature actually has a lot of branches in and of itself, which we will explore later in this section.
English Literature consists of the study of a certain group, era, or themes literature.
Students might delve deeper into a certain time period to discuss how they wrote and expressed themselves through writing.
Tying in themes of history and social studies, English Literature is truly for those who want to broaden their horizons, and even their understanding of the world.

English Literature actually has four types such as poetry, drama, fiction and non-fiction.
English Literature is truly a very important subject, and perhaps even an essential one at that, as English Literary Studies and Creative Writing are required for one to graduate English Language Arts.
I hope that students can explore this website and perhaps learn something about the potential courses that one might take during their years here at Palmer.
