Curriculum
The curriculum of French 9 incorporates both experiences in oral education and writing.
The oral aspect has a lot of emphasis put on it, as ample participation is the key to getting a proficient grade or higher (as stated by many teachers).
It incorporates different everyday life elements that one can start to learn even more.
Expressing oneself through the language, and learning in a hands-on way is in the spotlight when taking this elective.
Of course, the course will be at a bit of a complex level because of the fact that there is a prerequisite to this course, French 8.
Thus, it focuses on building around the foundational skills that one would have learned in said prerequisite.
There is however, a good amount of review that takes place in the beginning of the elective
The gist of French 9 is essentially there to build around grammatical skills and vocabulary that one might have gained in previous years.
Excelling in this course might help and encourage one to go on to take more French courses such as French 11 or French 12, which I also encourage you check out.
