English is a core subject that is taught in educational establishments all over the world, and RC Palmer is no exception.

In grade 8, both English and Social Studies are merged into one course called Humanities, but in grade 9, they both separate into different courses.

From then on, they are both considered their own subjects.

Things such as paragraphs and being able to craft essays on a proficient level are the main focus of the English curriculum.

If you wish to learn more about the Social Studies aspect of everything, you can refer to the social studies page.

English is a required subject for all Palmer students until the 10th grade, where they can choose a specific branch of English to focus and study.

Some of these branches (also known as electives/courses ), include literary studies and spoken composition as well as many other aspects of the subject itself.

If you wish to learn more about the Social Studies aspect of everything, you can refer to the social studies page.

The electives split up even more as one moves into grades 11 and 12, but the fundamentals are studied and redefined in both English 9 and Humanities 8.

There is also of course, the incentive program that has it's own take on English, but we won't talk much about that in this article.

However, you can still take a look on it at the Palmer Secondary website.
