Introduction
Chemistry is one of the very many branches of science that you can potentially learn at Palmer Secondary.
Chemistry is arguably known as quite a difficult course, requiring a prerequisite of a C+ or better in both Science 10 and math 10 for 11 and 12 students, as well as being infamous amongst grade 8 and 9 students.
Chemistry 11 focuses on being an introductory course for all who take it, and Chemistry 12 focuses on the foundation that was laid by both Chemistry 11 and Math 11, but we'll be focusing on all of the different types of chemistry that each grade learns on this webpage.
If you'd like to learn more about the curriculum, you can find more about it here.

Not many people out in the world seem to have much of an understanding of chemistry, as only the name chemistry seems to be tossed around here and there.
However, because of this fact, many students can find a reason to take this course, for forming a good understanding can help in many different aspects of life.
More about this importance can be mentioned on the Importance of Chemistry page.
If you're wondering about chemistry itself, it's usually defined as the study of physical matter throughout our world.
Chemistry can also bridge many separate subjects seemingly not affiliated with one another.
Math for example to even P.E. always have an ounce of chemistry found in at least one aspect of the subject itself.

Overall, chemistry is a very fascinating topic that isn't all that recognized amongst the general public today.
I hope that using this website, students can find the incentive to potentially take a chemistry course, or maybe even learn about chemistry outside of school! (even better)
Chemistry is after all, not all that talked about amongst students (if not for the discussion of just how difficult that the subject is).
